My Staff Role at 2017 National Scout Jamboree

I have the privilege and honor to serve on the 2017 National Scout Jamboree, National Media and Communications Team. This amazing team of volunteers and professionals will handle external social media and media relations. We’ll have a social media team working on the social channels (FB, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) and we’ll also be coordinating and escorting reporters who visit the site. The 2017 National Scout Jamboree will be held at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in West Virginia. I depart for the Jamboree on Thursday, July 13th and check in at the Jamboree on July 14th and will return home on July 29th. I previously served on the 1993 and 2005 National Jamboree staff at Fort AP Hill, so this is my first Jamboree at our new site, Summit Bechtel Reserve.

In preparation for the phycical demands of the Jamboree I have lost 53 pounds and logged, in the last 90 days, 200 miles walking and hiking!
