SCOUT EXECUTIVE -JAMBOREE JOURNEY

FOOD, FUN & FELLOWSHIP AT THE NATIONAL JAMBOREE!
JULY 27, 2017

FOOD

A well fed Scout and Scouter is a happy Scout and Scouter.  From a Staff perspective the food choices and options was pretty good, plenty to eat, always salad bar, the pack and go lunches became old after a while, there was not much variety, and it all started tasting the same after a while.  For those staff who worked the food service, my hat off is to you, what a great job each of you did and thank you for your service!

FUN

The jamboree is all about fun and plenty of fun and exciting things were available for each Scout to participate in.  Thanks to all of the staff that made the program happen!  Your work went above and beyond the call of Duty!

 FELLOWSHIP

For me the thing I will remember the most about the 2017 Jamboree are the friends I saw and the new friends I made.  Both professional and volunteer relationships are valued and cherished, and I was honored to see so many great friends and colleagues.  Thanks to each of them for their work and devotion.

Also thanks to our national leadership for their work, special thanks to three people in particular, our National Chief Mike Surbaugh, who was everywhere! Todd McGregor the new Summit Director, can you say trial by fire! and Jamboree Director Matt Myers.  These three gentleman went above and beyond.
